Nutraceutical and Weight Loss Therapy 0 (0)

Nutraceutical and Weight Loss

Weight Loss therapy

There are now millions upon millions of options for weight loss therapy and nutraceuticals available on the market today. Many fads that, for the most part, do actually work, but the end result for 99% of the participants is always the same; gaining back more weight loss therapy they actually started off with.

The one thing that these diet programs have all wrong is the notion that the “same” therapy program will work for every single person that tries it. That is propaganda. Whoever tries to convince you that if something worked for one person, then it must work for you as well, is lying to you and does not have your best interest in mind. Another very important, yet logical characteristic of “being thin” is the actual need to change your entire lifestyle… that is literally the only way to weight loss therapy and keep it off. If you go back to what you were doing before, you will just end up the way you looked and felt before.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about options available to help you on your path to the new you. Options that may even help you to accelerate the process a bit. For the core group, the whole point of founding AAI Rejuvenation Clinic was to establish an organization based on the premise that patient care and focus, really putting the patients first, is of utmost importance and the kind of focal structure missing in most medical establishments today. Our logical determination is that if we actually focus on helping patients and honestly answer queries related to their health and wellness goals, our patients will be loyal to our process and to our establishment; happy to be a part of the AAI Rejuvenation Clinic family and satisfied with our level of service, respect and, overall, their final goals and end results.

All Weight Loss Therapy are NOT Created Equal!

Medicinal therapies and protocols cannot be a one-size-fits-all structure. Each individual patient’s specific physiological characteristics, their daily routine, as well as their actual goals and aspirations must be taken into consideration when drawing up and organizing a plan of attack to drop those unwanted pounds and inches.

For the most part, the nutritional diagnosis will be the focus of your protocol assembling. Additionally, hormone treatments are very commonly incorporated into most diet regimens to help patients needing the additional assistance in weight loss due to physiological apprehensions.

Though Gonadotropin is one of the options available at AAI Rejuvenation Clinic as a weight loss therapy program, the reality is that it is not one of the healthiest weight loss options available out there and we do try to stray from incorporating it into our agendas. Needless to say, it is a program that helps some participants lose their desired weight and it can be effective if very properly administered and unmistakably followed. What we do different, in cases where interested patients qualify for these another hormone related weight loss options, such as the Gonadotropin hormone replacement program, is we integrate an array of vitamins, probiotics, amino acids and other such supplementing pharmaceuticals in an effort to cater to the immune system, which is one of the strongest downfalls of participating in such a protocol, which requires such a minimal amount of caloric consumption daily.

Why AAI Rejuvenation Clinic is Different.

At AAI Rejuvenation Clinic, we do what is best for your body in terms of helping you reach your health and wellness goals. We’ve learned that many times when a patient is having problems reaching their weight goals, the association has to do with a bad combination of food choices for that individual specifically. The way the body processes food is very different from one person to another, so understanding a person’s eating habits in conjunction with proper and adequate blood tests can really help zero in on a program, and the right supplementing nutraceuticals, to help eliminate whatever toxins may be preventing them from losing weight or, whatever hormone imbalance may be slowing down their weight loss process. Whatever metabolic issue may be obstructing a person’s ability to reach their weight loss goals can be addressed once it’s properly diagnosed.

The 6 Effects of Testosterone in Your Body 0 (0)

The 6 Effects of Testosterone in Your Body

6 Effects of Testosterone in Your Body, However, the body changes as we age and loses some of its regenerative capacity. A fundamental part of this decline roots from a slow-down in our hormonal secretions. Simply put, even young people with glandular issues who do not produce enough testosterone and/or HGH experience side effects and maladies that are usually only associated with much older individuals. Conversely, older patients with higher hormone levels, be it naturally or via hormone replacement therapy, have health benefits normally associated with younger individuals.

Also, Women’s Can Be at Risk for Low Testosterone:

The ovaries are responsible for producing both testosterone and estrogen, as the ovaries age, they produce less estrogen and testosterone. As women enter peri-menopause and pre-menopause, testosterone will be diminished by the age of 30’s, and once a women reach full menopause, it’s common for them to produce 75% less testosterone than they did in the there 21’s. Every woman becomes at risk of low testosterone as she ages, and women who go through hysterectomy or oophorectomy have an even higher chance of dealing or having low testosterone in women levels.

6 Effects of Testosterone in Your Body.

  • Changes the Brain:

Research has shown that women have a significant advantage when it comes to a few things, Like memory and language, while men tend to have stronger spatial skills (though this too has been disputed). But due to ethical restrictions, no study had been able to track the direct effect that testosterone exposure has on the brain—until now.

The hormone also plays a role in your state of mind, including how well your brain works. That’s why low testosterone has linked to symptoms such as mood swings, increased stress, and depression. … “Cells in the brain have testosterone receptors, and low testosterone in those receptors are significantly affected mental health.”

  • Muscle and Strength:

Recent studies have shown that men as they age, they lose more muscle mass than women of the same period, and has led researchers to believe that the loss of muscle strength and has it has a direct link to the predominantly male decline hormone, like testosterone. Testosterone helps to build muscle mass and strength in young men.

Testosterone supplementation in men increases fat-free mass, but whether measures of muscle performance, such as maximal voluntary strength, power, fatigability, or specific tension, are improved has not been determined. … A seated leg press exercise defined maximal voluntary muscle strength and fatigability.

  • Bone Density and Osteoporosis:

As men age, their serum testosterone concentrations decrease, as do their bone densities. Because bone density is also low in hypogonadal men, we hypothesized that increasing the serum testosterone concentrations of men over 65 yr to those found in young men would raise their bone densities.

Testosterone increases levels of growth hormone. That makes the exercise more likely to build muscle. Testosterone increases bone density and tells the bone marrow to manufacture red blood cells. … Dropping the levels of testosterone can cause an increase in body fat.

  • Sex Drive and Libido:

Some men maintain sexual desire at relatively to low testosterone level. For other men, libido may lag even with normal testosterone levels and low testosterone is one of the possible causes of low desire and sex drive, however. If testosterone has lowered far enough, virtually all men will experience some decline in sex drive.

Growth hormone (GH) has also been used to reverse or correct erectile dysfunction and other sexually impeding disorders and the primarily by improving circulation and blood flow, which results in a firmer, more sustainable erection.

  • Bone Marrow and Red Blood Cells:

Erythropoiesis affects the production of new red blood cells. One is accomplished primarily in the bone marrow, the red blood cell factory. Erythropoiesis is stimulated mainly by erythropoietin (hence, the clever naming of that hormone!). … Androgens, including testosterone, are another type of hormone.

Testosterone and other androgens have an erythropoietic stimulating effect that can cause polycythemia, which manifests as an increase in hemoglobin, hematocrit, or red blood cell count. … If hematocrit elevated before starting testosterone, the cause should determine before beginning androgen therapy

  • Skin and Collagen:

A man or women with shrinking levels of testosterone actually may lose some body hair. Testosterone replacement therapy comes with a few potential side effects, including acne and breast enlargement. Testosterone patches may cause minor skin irritation.

In fact, research now suggests that bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (or BHRT) can actually reverse many of the signs of aging and that you may have come to accept – weight gain, low libido, reduced muscle mass – and can even help to prevent conditions such as osteoporosis, heart disease, and dementia.

Body Mass Index (BMI) Measure of Body Fat 0 (0)

Body Mass Index (BMI) and How it Measure the Body Fat

Body Mass Index (BMI) is based on your high and weight about your height and applied to most adult men and women aged 20 and over. For children aged 2 and above, BMI percentile is the best assessment of body fat.

BMI does not measure body fat directly. However, research indicates that BMI correlates to direct measures of body fat such as underwater weighing and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), and is considered an inexpensive and easy-to-perform alternative for these.

FACTS ON BMI

Here are some critical points about BMI:

  • Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of relative size based on the mass and height of an individual.
  • The Quetelet Index devised by Adolphe Quetelet, a Belgian mathematician, astronomer, and statistician, in 1832.
  • It was later termed “body mass index” in 1972 by Ancel Keys.
  • BMI is a simple, inexpensive and noninvasive surrogate measure of body fat.
  • Factors such as age, sex, ethnicity, and muscle mass do not account in BMI chart.

For adults over 20 years old and older, BMI can be interpreted by using standard or not updated there weight status, and categories that are the same for all ages, and for both women and men.

For children, kids and adolescents between 2-20 years old, BMI interpreted relevant categories to a child’s age and sex. BMI is reasonable throughout the years as an indicator of body fat categories for both adults and children. Because BMI does not measure categories of body fat directly, it should not use as a diagnostic tool.

BMI should be used only to measure to track weight status in populations and also as a screening categories tool to identify potential weight problems in individuals. Body fat measures, such as skinfold thicknesses, bioelectrical impedance, underwater weighing and dual energy X-ray absorption, maybe more accurate than BMI.

WHAT IS BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)?

BMI use as a screening tool to indicate whether a person is an underweight, healthy weight for their height, overweight or obese. If a person BMI is out of the excellent measure by the BMI range, their health risks may increase.

obesity-in-the-world

BMI is age-independent, the same for both women and men. But the BMI may not be the same degree of fat in different populations because due to a diverse body and other proportion. The health risks associated with high BMI can be confusing, the interpretation of BMI risk may differ for different populations.

There are three ways to check your BMI:

  • Use our BMI calculators
  • First, use the BMI chart, find your height in the left-hand column. Then, follow it over until you see your weight along the top bar.
  • The number in the center box between the two is your BMI.

THE BENEFITS OF MAINTAINING A HEALTHY WEIGHT

  • Fewer joint and muscle pains
  • The ability to join in more activities and Increased energy
  • Improved bodily fluids and blood pressure
  • The Reduced burden of the heart and circulatory system
  • Improved sleep patterns

Reductions in blood glucose, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and triglycerides:

  • Excess of weight increases how hard the heart has to work to pump blood, it also gives high blood pressure, blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels and lowers HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
  • Excess of weight can make help likely to develop any diabetes.
  • Lifestyle changes that help maintain a 3-5% weight loss and likely to result in clinically meaningful improvements in blood glucose, triglycerides, and risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
  • Greater weight loss can and also help reduce blood pressure and improve blood cholesterol.

THE BODY MASS INDEX MEASUREMENTS?

Researchers point out that the (BMI), based on the height and weight, is not an accurate measure of body fat because it does not account for critical factors that contribute to health or mortality, such as fat distribution, the proportion of muscle to fat, and the sex and racial differences in body. However, it used as a screening tool to identify potential weight problems in adults.

If a person has a high BMI, But yet to determine if this excess weight is a health risk, call your doctor, or a healthcare provider would need to complete further assessments such as:

  • Skinfold thickness measurements
  • Evaluations of diet
  • Physical activity
  • Family history
  • Other appropriate health screenings

HOW TO CALCULATE BMI FOR ADULTS

Belgium Statistician Adolphe Quetelet developed the BMI formula approximately 150 years ago.

THE CALCULATION OF BMI

BMI based on the following formulas:

  • Metric BMI Formula. Weight (kg) / Height (m)2

With the metric system, the formula for BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared (kg/m2). Since height commonly measured in centimeters, divide height in centimeters by 100 to obtain height in meters.

  • Imperial BMI Formula. (Weight (lbs.) * 703) / Height (inches)2

The Facts about Testosterone and Andropause 0 (0)

Testosterone and Andropause

AndropauseTestosterone and Andropause: Testosterone is the primary hormone responsible for deep voices, muscle mass, sex drive, are some of the patterns found in males. As men age and get older, the level of testosterone in the body and production of sperm gradually becomes lower, and they experience physical and psychological symptoms as a result of these low levels of testosterone and is the part of the natural aging process.

Andropause is a condition that is symptoms of the decrease in the male hormone testosterone. Approximately 80% of men in their 50s will experience symptoms of andropause caused by low testosterone levels. A person suffering andropause may have some symptoms related to the condition and could be at risk of other severe health conditions.

Causes of Testosterone and Andropause:

The decrease in testosterone is an essential factor in men having andropause problems. As men age, the body starts making less testosterone, and also the levels of other hormones like (SHBG) “Sex Hormone Binding Globulin,” which pulls usable testosterone from the blood, begins to increase. (SHBG) Also Binds some available testosterone circulating in the bloodstream. The testosterone that is available and not linked to the SHBG hormone described as bioavailable testosterone.

Men who experience symptoms associated with andropause and low testosterone have lowered amounts of bioavailable testosterone in their bloodstream. Therefore, The tissues in the body which are stimulated by testosterone receiving a smaller number of it, which may cause physical and possibly mental changes in a person such as mood swings or fatigue and more.

Complications and Symptoms of Testosterone and Andropause:

  • Thyroid
  • Cellulite
  • Decrease Motivation
  • Sex Drive and Desire
  • Lack of Energy
  • Depression
  • Irritability and Mood Swings
  • Loss of Muscle Mass
  • Memory Loss
  • Hot Flashes
  • High Cholesterol
  • Hair Loss
  • Sleep Disturbance
  • Slow Recovery From Wounds Healing and Illness

Complications associated with andropause include an increased risk of cardiovascular problems and osteoporosis (brittle bones) and more.

Treatment and Prevention of Testosterone and Andropause

The Role of Testosterone is Important in The Body 0 (0)

What is the role of testosterone?

The Role of Testosterone, Testosterone therapy is the most important sex hormone that men have. It is responsible for the typical male characteristics and helps maintain sex drive, sperm production, pubic and body hair, muscle, and bone. The brain controls the production of testosterone by the testes.

Low testosterone (also called hypogonadism) can cause:

• A drop in sex drive
• Poor erections
• Low sperm count
• Increased breast tissue

Over time, low testosterone may cause a man to lose body hair, muscle bulk and strength, accumulate body fat, and have weaker bones (osteoporosis), mood changes, less energy and smaller testes.

What causes low testosterone?

Low testosterone can be caused by injury (trauma, castration, radiation or chemotherapy), testicular infection, hormonal disorders (e.g., pituitary tumors or diseases, high levels of prolactin), or other systematic diseases (such as HIV/AIDS, chronic liver and kidney disease, too much body fat, Type 2 Diabetes and associated Diabetes). Some medications and several genetic conditions (Klinefelter syndrome, hemochromatosis, Kallmann syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome) also can cause low testosterone. Many older men have low testosterone levels and often, the cause is not known.

How is low testosterone diagnosed?

During a physical exam, your doctor will examine body hair, breast size, size and consistency of the testes, scrotum, penis size, and ability to see in all directions. Your doctor will also use blood tests to see if the total testosterone level is within the normal range. This is generally 300 to 1,000 ng/dL but this may differ depending on the laboratory. To diagnose low testosterone you may need more than one early-morning (7 – 10 a.m.) blood test and, sometimes, other tests of the pituitary gland.

How is low testosterone treated?

Testosterone replacement therapy can improve sexual interest, erectile function, mood and energy, body hair growth, bone density, and muscle mass. There are several methods of testosterone replacement:

Injections
Patches
Gel

The best method will depend on the cause of the problem, the patient’s preference and tolerance, and cost. There are risks with long-term use of any testosterone delivery method for men over 50.

Possible Risks of Testosterone Treatment:

1) A high red blood cell count
2) Occasional stopping of breathing during sleep (sleep apnea)
3) An increase in prostate enlargement or prostate cancer growth
4) Fluid build-up (rarely)
5) Breast enlargement
6) Acne

African American men and men over 40 years of age who have close relatives with prostate cancer and all men over 50 years of age should be carefully monitored for prostate cancer during testosterone treatment. Men with breast cancer or known or suspected prostate cancer should not receive testosterone therapy.

Turmeric Health Benefits 0 (0)

Turmeric and The Health Benefits

Turmeric, Several plants, and their extracts have been reported to have health benefits, and it can be difficult to know what is true. Are all these things as good as they seem? For turmeric, the answer is a resounding yes!

Turmeric is an herbal plant grown in Asia. The roots are used to make the yellow spice turmeric, which is most commonly used in Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Iranian cooking. It is the main spice in curries and is also used to color cheese and butter.

Although the health benefits of turmeric have been known for thousands of years in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, it has only recently been appreciated in Western medicine. Curcumin is a phenolic curcuminoid that is thought to be responsible for many of the health benefits of turmeric. It has potent and well-characterized antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects. Read on to learn more about the other ways in which this amazing spice can boost your health.

turmeric

Anticancer effects

Cancer development is a highly complex process that involves DNA damage, inflammation, and the disruption of cellular signaling and death pathways. Although the data are preliminary, there is a certain amount of excitement in the oncology community because curcumin can affect several of these pathways to exert anticancer effects.

Specific clinical trials in patients with cancer are ongoing, but the available results suggest that curcumin could be an effective treatment for multiple cancers, including multiple myeloma, head, and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and pancreatic, prostate, breast, colorectal, lung, and oral cancers [1].

Cognitive function

An exciting recent discovery is that turmeric could improve cognitive function in elderly individuals. An Australian study published in April 2016 administered placebo control or a form of curcumin to 96 community-dwelling older adults for 1 year. Various cognitive functions were tested before treatment and at 6- and 12-months. Subjects that received placebo exhibited a cognitive decline at 6 months, whereas those that received curcumin did not [2].

Although the Australian study was not definitive, the available data suggest that curcumin could have several anti-Alzheimer’s disease effects such as preventing the production and aggregation of β-amyloid in the brain and also regenerating brain cells [3]. Taken together, these data suggest that the regular intake of turmeric might reduce the aging-associated decline in cognitive function.

 brain-and-boosts

Increase testosterone levels

As anyone reading this blog understands, declining testosterone levels during normal aging are associated with several negative effects on health. Recent research has suggested that turmeric might increase testosterone levels in different ways. First, it can help reverse a number of conditions that can contribute to reduced low testosterone production, such as high cholesterol and dysregulated blood sugar.

The anti-oxidative effects of turmeric can also prevent oxidative damage to Leydig cells in the testis, which could, in turn, normalize with testosterone injections. In mice, turmeric could improve fertility by protecting the testes from various stressors [4, 5].

Who knew that eating curry could improve your testosterone levels and fertility!

Metabolic diseases

Curcumin exhibits a seemingly endless number of beneficial metabolic effects. For example:

  • It can increase the levels of HDL or good cholesterol and lower the levels of LDL or bad cholesterol [6]. This is important because low HDL levels and high LDL levels are risk factors for metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes.
  • It reduces blood glucose levels and improves glucose metabolism in rodent models, suggesting that it could be an effective treatment for diabetes [7].

How to make the most of your turmeric intake

Now you know about just some of the health benefits of turmeric, it is important to understand how to make the most of it. As with all drugs or supplements, the actions of turmeric are limited by its bioavailability, which is defined as the amount that is biologically available to exert its physiological effects. The bioavailability of a drug declines as it is metabolized in the liver, which is a particular concern with any drug or supplement that is administered orally.

One of the best ways to increase the bioavailability of curcumin is to consume turmeric-rich foods with black pepper. Black pepper contains a substance named piperine, which is a potent inhibitor of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (one of the liver enzymes responsible for drug metabolism) [8]. Indeed, eating even a small amount of piperine with turmeric could increase the bioavailability of turmeric by around 2000% [9].

Curcumin absorption can also be enhanced by consuming turmeric with fats because turmeric is fat-soluble. There are two ways to achieve this: ingest turmeric powder with a healthy fat such as olive oil, or consume natural turmeric root, which contains natural oils that promote its solubility.

Obesity, Low Sex Drive and Testosterone 0 (0)

Weight Affects Testosterone Levels. Symptoms of Sexual Dysfunction Due to Obesity May be Reversible.

Weight affects testosterone levels in men. Aromatization mainly takes place in fat cells. Conclusively, men with more body fat produce more aromatase and, as a result, have higher estrogen levels. Studies also show a correlation between excess body fat and low testosterone production.Weight affects testosterone levels

An in-depth study orchestrated at The Endocrine Society’s 93rd Annual Meeting in Boston made some stunning determinations on how weight affects testosterone levels in men. There, the co-author of the study, Dr. Jean-Paul Thissen, MD, Ph.D. made an impactful statement. He also happened to be a professor at the University of Louvain in Brussels. He said, “Morbidly obese men have a high prevalence of hypotestosteronemia, or low testosterone, and of sexual dysfunction.” He further enlightened, “It is reassuring that these problems are potentially curable by weight loss.”

The test consisted of 75 obese men. From 2007 to 2010, these men had been active patients at an obesity center. The study consisted of having their hormones tested as well as their body composition and body fat measured. Additionally, they were required to fill out a questionnaire designed to help better understand if there was any androgen (male hormone) deficiency. The addressed topics included erectile dysfunction, diminished sex drive and other libido affecting matters. Of these men, 17 of them participated in gastric bypass surgery. They were then reassessed three and twelve months later.

When the assessment was first initiated, of the 75 patients, 54 showed indications they were suffering from testosterone Weight affects testosterone levelsdeficiency. Twenty-seven of those men were clinically diagnosed with low testosterone in men.

The study denoted the higher a man’s body mass index, as well as their waist circumference and body fat percentage, the more depleted their testosterone levels were. Dr. Thissen advocated, “This correlation suggests a potential causal relationship between obesity and low testosterone.”

The seventeen men who underwent gastric bypass surgery lost a group average of approximately 90 lbs. Twelve months later, there had been a significant increase in their natural testosterone production. After the weight loss and the 12 month period, they were considered to be in normal range. This confirmed a reversal of testosterone deficiency, as reported by Dr. Thissen.

Many times, all your immune system needed to be was a little boost and you’ll actually knock the cold or flu right out of you.

Try these little mixtures the next time you are not feeling well or realize you need that little extra immune boost. These may not be an immediate cure for the common cold but, watch and see how much quicker you will feel better and how much your symptoms will be reduced.

By now, our readers know that the root of our therapies is hormone therapies such as Testosterone Therapy, HGH Therapy, Sermorelin Therapy and many others. Our point is to always try to inculcate the fact that if your hormones are low, your immune system is low. If you are a man, you absolutely need testosterone injections in order to feel and be healthy. The ladies need a combination of their three essential hormones checked (Estrogen, Progesterone, and Testosterone) to ensure their wellbeing. Both sexes will age prematurely if Human Growth Hormone levels are low and, you know age is cruel to the immune system.
