Testosterone Cypionate Information

Testosterone Cypionate

Testosterone cypionate is a testosterone ester that was first marketed in the U.S. in the early 1950s as a prescription drug under the name Depo-Testosterone by Upjohn, now Pharmacia & Upjohn. Testosterone cypionate is molecularly very similar to another testosterone ester called testosterone enanthate.

Cypionate has a long carbon chains, so it has a slower but more sustained mechanism of action. Many individuals using testosterone cypionate administer more than one testosterone ester to allow them to manipulate their testosterone levels more efficiently, helping to avoid the peak and valley concentrations and their associated side effects. However, we stress that no drugs should be taken without proper supervision from your AAI Clinics prescribing physician.

Testosterone cypionate has a half-life of 7-days, which means that it is present in your body for 14 days. Because it has longer carbon chain and hence a longer half-life, it only has to be administered every 7 days to maintain efficacious concentrations. Even though AAI Rejuvenation Clinic does not use the standard intramuscular needle tips that most clinics use, as ours are significantly more comfortable to utilize, most patients would still rather administer their testosterone Therapy as infrequently as possible.
