Obesity, Low Sex Drive and Testosterone 5 (1)

Weight Affects Testosterone Levels. Symptoms of Sexual Dysfunction Due to Obesity May be Reversible.

Weight affects testosterone levels in men. Aromatization mainly takes place in fat cells. Conclusively, men with more body fat produce more aromatase and, as a result, have higher estrogen levels. Studies also show a correlation between excess body fat and low testosterone production.Weight affects testosterone levels

An in-depth study orchestrated at The Endocrine Society’s 93rd Annual Meeting in Boston made some stunning determinations on how weight affects testosterone levels in men. There, the co-author of the study, Dr. Jean-Paul Thissen, MD, Ph.D. made an impactful statement. He also happened to be a professor at the University of Louvain in Brussels. He said, “Morbidly obese men have a high prevalence of hypotestosteronemia, or low testosterone, and of sexual dysfunction.” He further enlightened, “It is reassuring that these problems are potentially curable by weight loss.”

The test consisted of 75 obese men. From 2007 to 2010, these men had been active patients at an obesity center. The study consisted of having their hormones tested as well as their body composition and body fat measured. Additionally, they were required to fill out a questionnaire designed to help better understand if there was any androgen (male hormone) deficiency. The addressed topics included erectile dysfunction, diminished sex drive and other libido affecting matters. Of these men, 17 of them participated in gastric bypass surgery. They were then reassessed three and twelve months later.

When the assessment was first initiated, of the 75 patients, 54 showed indications they were suffering from testosterone Weight affects testosterone levelsdeficiency. Twenty-seven of those men were clinically diagnosed with low testosterone in men.

The study denoted the higher a man’s body mass index, as well as their waist circumference and body fat percentage, the more depleted their testosterone levels were. Dr. Thissen advocated, “This correlation suggests a potential causal relationship between obesity and low testosterone.”

The seventeen men who underwent gastric bypass surgery lost a group average of approximately 90 lbs. Twelve months later, there had been a significant increase in their natural testosterone production. After the weight loss and the 12 month period, they were considered to be in normal range. This confirmed a reversal of testosterone deficiency, as reported by Dr. Thissen.

Weight affects testosterone levelsWe see in this study that weight affects testosterone levels in men significantly. If you are a man, overweight, in the process of bettering his health, talk to us. We can help you elevate your testosterone levels while you are in the process of losing weight. Testosterone Effects on Prostate 5 (1)

Testosterone Effects on Prostate Health.
How That’s Changing.

Testosterone effects on prostate levels and its functionality have always been a delicate topic of conversation. There is a lot of controversy surrounding the different theories on its impact. We have all heard the stories and read the articles where Testosterone injections, or, really any form of testosterone therapy, are allegedly attributed to malignant side effects in the participants. What is most interesting is the notion there actually have not been many studies done focused on that particular reaction to therapy. By this we mean, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies as is the standard of our trusted Food and Drug administration’s qualification process.

  • testosterone effects on prostateWe do not want to give off the impression we share this recently accepted hypothesis, which suggests testosterone effects on prostate health do not necessarily have a correlation. However, it is important to shed light on the fact the medical community and its core beliefs and socially accepted diagnoses often shift, and dramatically. Also, as the world awakens, begins to ask more questions and not accepting the typical status quo, we’ve all become a bit more enlightened to the ways of the world. We’ve learned that big pharma and its main directors don’t necessarily have our health or us at the forefront of their decision-making. Many times profits interfere with factual descriptions and publicly distributed medicinal allocations. We must use discernment when we read data and, dig deeper if it’s a matter of personal importance. Everyone who searches finds…

Particularly men on testosterone therapy, they should do their best research to help them better understand the involved variables. Better understanding of testosterone effects on prostate health can help patients make the best determination, based on their personal considering factors.

A recent study led by researchers at NYU Langone Medical Center denoted men prescribed a minimum of 1 year of testosterone injections replacement therapy demonstrated no additional risk for prostate cancer. One researcher, in particular, Stacy Loeb, testosterone effects on prostate MD, MSc, who happens to be a urologist at NYU Langone Medical Center shared a different notion. She suggests physicians should continue to evaluate prostate cancer risk factors and better understand functionality and future health— such as age over 40, family history of the disease and black ancestry — among men prescribed testosterone therapy. Dr. Loeb said in a corresponding press release, “they should not hesitate to prescribe [testosterone therapy] to appropriate patients for fear of increasing prostate cancer risk.”

In their research to better understand testosterone injections effects on prostate health, Dr. Loeb and her contemporaries collected data from close to 25 million medical files on a group of men. These men were enumerated in the National Prostate Cancer Register and Prescribed Drug Register in Sweden.

  • testosterone effects on prostateThey were able to classify 38,570 men diagnosed with prostate cancer between 2009 and 2012. Of these men, 284 received testosterone therapy treatments prior to their prostate tissue diagnosis. These numbers were then compared to the results of 192,838 men who showed no development of cancer in the prostate. Most interestingly, 1,378 of those men had been on testosterone therapy.
  • Multivariable examination helped conclude no significant association between any kind of testosterone injections replacement therapy and prostate cancer risk (OR = 1.03; 95% CI, 0.9-1.17). In fact, the results suggested a 35% increase in low-risk prostate cancer occurrence after the commencement of a testosterone therapy regimen (OR = 1.35; 95% CI, 1.16-1.56). Results also showed a lower risk of aggressive disease among men who used testosterone injections replacement therapy for more than a year (OR = 0.5; 95% CI, 0.37-0.67).

testosterone effects on prostateFrom this analysis, the demarcations indicating the lessened potential for testosterone injections therapy to have a negative side effect on the prostate are significantly prominent. Testosterone injections effects on prostate health and blood testing levels shown to have little to no association. That being said, until the concrete information has changed the national standard on this widespread opinion, AAI Rejuvenation Clinic will continue to supplement each one of our therapies with the necessary medicinal requirements currently utilized to maintain possible, unwanted side effects from interfering with a successful testosterone therapy treatment. Testosterone Increasing Foods | Pineapple Testosterone Boosting Smoothie 5 (2)

Testosterone increasing Natural Options
(Testosterone Boosting Smoothies Series)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooyjsVpt_7E

Testosterone increasing smoothies are delicious and efficient. Today in our Testosterone Boosting Smoothies series, we want to incorporate a delicious contender. The all-mighty testosterone increasing Pineapple smoothie.

Before we begin, we want to thank all the readers for liking our postings and really taking a look at understanding the foundation of AAI Rejuvenation Clinic’s true intentions: To help everyone we touch better themselves in one way or another.

Of course, the nature of our business, our bread and butter are helping people balance their hormones correctly and Testosterone increasingeffectively through the efforts of bio-identical hormone programs like Testosterone therapyHGH therapy, and Sermorelin Therapy. However, before anyone jumps right into contemplating pills, supplements, nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals, it’s important for this person with declining hormone levels to first aid the body in maximizing its own hormone production efforts.

Boosting your own Testosterone naturally before jumping right into an exogenous testosterone therapy will:

  • help your own endocrine system stay on track longer.
  • ensure other areas of your endocrine system aren’t prematurely hindered by the introduction of an external agent.
  • keep your whole body in better health, as the requirements would inevitably provide the results.
  • save hundreds if not thousands of dollars on therapy that could/should have been avoided.
  • ensure better overall results, as long as you are able to maintain “healthy” levels.

Remember that we are organic creatures. We like to mention this often in our posts. Absolutely: Western medicine has revolutionized humanity and extended our lives by more than double the original life expectancy. That being said, it’s unequivocal that it is also wreaking havoc on our biology. As many lives as we are able to save with western medication, there are equally as high and concerning numbers that can be drawn by counting victims of western medicine side effects. The point is, we need western medicine. We must have it, and in some cases, it is actually one of the real only hopes (such as blood pressure medication) however if we find natural, effective, organic options that can really help our health without the potentiality of hindering our internal systems, we have to take a look at them. Now, IMAGINE IF THEY TASTE GOOD TOO!!!

Testosterone increasing

There are real testosterone injections increasing options out there. Natural ones that are effective and cost-effective. Now, of course, there are situations where these options may not be sufficiently effective at maintaining your hormones at the level that they need to be to really maintain your health as you’ve always enjoyed it. In these cases, it’s important to try to qualify for therapy.

If you’d like to contact us to discuss today’s blog, other testosterone increasing options, or if you are interested in talking about the requirements for qualifying for hormone therapy, call us at:

Andropause: The Quality of Life Thief! 5 (2)

Andropause: Not Talking About it Doesn’t Make it Any Less Real

Andropause is very real and will affect all of us men. Inevitably. Though we’ve all heard a little something-or-other about it, it’s probably one of the furthest things in the back of our minds. That is until we crash and burn. Maybe it’s something in the name; how much it rhymes with “menopause”. Considering all the ignorant stigma associated with the term and its ability to project popular culture’s misinformed, misplaced imagery of a hormonally imbalanced, crazed female, it makes sense we’d unwittingly shy away from admitting its existence.

Andropause

The funny part is, most people don’t understand the complexity of a woman’s body and all the multiple facets of their endocrine system, as they are blessed with the incomparable divine ability to bear children. Simply put, the only thing that saves us men is that we only have one main sex hormone to deal with and the balancing act doesn’t require a fraction of the skill that is needed to aid a woman with properly balancing their individual hormone levels.

  • Trust us, when guys are on Testosterone therapy and they don’t take their estrogen blockers and their estrogen skyrockets, you can literally hear in their voices that the estrogen is abundant within them. They can sound sensitive and sad or, we’ve even had patients crying incessantly on the phone. It has nothing to do with the sex: it’s 100% the hormone(s). We ARE our hormones. Our hormones and their available levels are DIRECTLY associated with our actions, thoughts, inclination, emotions, our feelings and how we deal with them.

However, ladies, do your research on Peri-Menopause. You want to catch and reverse the symptoms of early onset menopause. The sooner you start working on the condition, the better you will feel and the more successful your attempt will be. Trying to correct hormones that have been depleted for a long time is a much more complex and grueling process mentally, physically and emotionally than if you take preventative action by recognizing the initial symptoms.

The Science channel had a snippet on the future of war technology and the topic was in the race to shrink weaponry as much asAndropause mechanically possible. Long story short, they have the capability of mounting a minuscule piece of machinery to a beetle’s head. The tiny contraption is able to release hormones into the beetle’s brain. What does it do? It allows us to control them. With the release of a specific hormone, we can make the beetle turn left or right, go forward or backward. Mount a miniature camera and audio system on its back and, talk about being “bugged”!

The point is, just the introduction of a familiar hormone can literally completely manipulate the actions of this beetle. Of course, this is an extreme example but it clearly highlights the reality of the power and control that hormones have within us. Have you ever NOT been interested in sex and your intelligent mind feels like it’s disconnected with your body because you CANT figure out why you’re not interested? Hormones…

Andropause

How do you know if you may be experiencing Andropause symptoms? Look, we all have bad days. Maybe even a few consecutive ones. However, if you notice that your general feelings are:

  • that you don’t care about personal interests the way that you used to.
  • that your moods are different.
  • that you find yourself reacting differently to situations than you normally would.
  • not performing the same in the bedroom and/or don’t even care.
  • it’s been much harder to get results in the gym than you are used to.
  • no matter how much rest you are getting, you still feel more tired than you remember being in the past.
  • your mind isn’t as clear, quick or sharp as you remember it being.
  • you’re more anxious or “bothered” than is normal for you.
  • Happier just being at home that is out and about interacting with people.

Another huge problem with Andropause: As men, we usually don’t take action until we are “directly” impacted or somehow impeded. Now, with Andropause and the issues of depleting low Testosterone levels, your body is impacted negatively and you may not even notice it.

Andropause

We highlight the heart only because it’s such a popular subject these days, being one of the top killers of Americans now. Suffering from issues of Andropause is a direct correlation to future functionality issues of your heart and other vital organs in our bodies.

As men, we have certain Testosterone sensitive tissue throughout our whole body. Maintaining low levels of testosterone causes deterioration of these organs and tissues, stressing them and forcing them to work harder.

Contact us at AAI Rejuvenation Clinic so we can help you evaluate your hormone levels. You don’t even have to leave your home. We can send you at home testing kits that you can use pain-free. If it comes back that your hormones are low, we’ll give you a breakdown of what we can do for you so you can better determine if you wish to take action or not. You will never feel any pressure from us. You do not speak to “salespeople”. You speak to an educated, professional “Wellness Advisor”. It is our standard to have professional and educational conversations with our prospective patients and interested parties. Try us. We far supersede industry standards and want to do the same for your overall results.

Improve Vascular Appearance Naturally and Effectively 5 (1)

Vascular Appearance

Vascular Appearance naturally: For a lot of men that are working out, the appearance of healthy, strong veins road-mapping their body, accentuating their hard work and dedication is something that is unequivocally sought after. You’ve probably encountered a strong man or two that, before he takes a picture or runs into a person of interest, drops down and does a quick 20 push-ups.

Why is that?

The blood gets pumping through the veins, dilates the entire vascular system and gives the appearance of a more defined, stronger physique.

Can we do anything to naturally improve vascular appearance as a whole? Sure.

Get to Low Body Fat

Step 1 Bring Down Body Fat

This is the most important part, and also the most obvious.

  • However, that’s also the place where fat mass accumulates.
  • Go above 10% and your veins will slowly disappear
  • Go below 7% and you’re going to wreck your hormones balance with the strict diet.

You Need Big, Strong Muscles

Step 1 Bring Down Body Fat (Watermarked)

This may seem like an obvious point but, it’s definitely one that needs highlighting.

It’s as simple as it sounds. You must have bigger and stronger muscles in order for your natural vascularity to more overtly come through.

What can I do to get larger muscles?

It’s just as simple as lifting bigger, heavier weights. Of course, you have to have a plan in place and particular program you are focusing on but, whatever your preferred routine, increasing weights and tweaking your regimen to trick your muscles out of their accustomed routine will accelerate your muscle growth.

If you notice that you are working out hard and you are not growing muscle, it may be an indication that your testosterone levels are low. We can help you with a simple at-home Testosterone testing kit. It’s only $75. If your test results come back as you being Testosterone deficient, you may qualify for testosterone therapy. Testosterone therapy will significantly aid in the production of muscle growth and development.

Step 3: Increasing Your Nitric Oxide Levels is the Key to Vascularity

Nitric oxide is an incredibly important molecule in the cardiovascular system.

Not only does it relax and smooth tissue dilates arteries and improves blood flow, but it also reduces arterial stiffness.

It will make sense now that you will find that many pre-workout supplements have some kind of incorporated ingredient to increase nitric oxide levels. When you feel it’s giving you that extra “oomph”, it’s really just an increase in blood flow resulting from the upsurge in nitric oxide.

This is actually one of the reasons our doctors typically incorporate L-Arginine into our Testosterone programs. It’s a nitric oxide booster. It helps dilate the vascular system even further, aiding in that extra blood flow to your needing muscles. It’s also said to help with recuperation time and stamina for corresponding reasons. We often have promotions on L-Arginine so, please make sure to ask. L-Arginine is also used on its own to help improve vascular appearance.

Also, consider consuming more natural nitrates such as what you’d ingest from:

  • Spinach
  • Arugula
  • Celery
  • Lettuce
  • Beets

The nitrates will convert into nitric oxide as a result of actions of the bacteria on your tongue and inside your gut.

Improve Vascular Appearance

Thermogenic Foods (Heat Production)Step 4 -Thermogenic FoodsIncrease your basal body temperature and your body naturally forces blood closer towards the skin and further away from the internal organs.

  • Your body will do this in its attempt to ensure the organs never overheat.
  • This is totally natural and safe.
  • Even a hot shower has the same effect, though very temporary.

For a longer lasting effect and the increase in visible vascularity, just eat foods with spices. The hotter the better! These have Thermogenic effects on the body.Quick Mix Vascularity (imeage) (watermarked)

Simple Examples:

  • Cayenne pepper,
  • Ginger
  • Cinnamon
  • Chili pepper
  • Garlic
  • Ginseng
  • Guarana
  • Turmeric
  • Horseradish

Quick Mix:

Mix some cayenne pepper and ginger in water and gulp it down. It will give you:

  • A nice testosterone boost.
  • A thermogenic effect.
  • A nitric oxide boost.

Perfect for increasing natural vascularity.

If you really want to get into it and improve vascular appearance, you can add another main ingredient to the mix:

  • Garlic increases protein absorption, which helps with muscle growth. Moreover, it also has an ability to help with the production of Testosterone.

A little bit of honey can also be added in an attempt to assist with sweetening the drink a bit. You definitely do not want to add any regular sugar. You want to avoid regular sugar as much as you possibly can.

Step 5: Avoid Water Retention

Controlling your water retention will significantly help you improve vascular appearance. The same area where the veins we are trying to accentuate are located is also the region where subcutaneous water accumulates. This happens because the sodium in salt helps to “store” the water there. This is what we call water retention. Did you ever eat fast food or other processed salts and then couldn’t take your rings off the next morning? Now you know why.

The occurrence is basically called water retention, and it’s also the reason why processed salt bloats you up like a balloon.

Water Balloon (image)(watermarked)Diuretics work to fight this. However, they are VERY dangerous if not used correctly so we advise against them.

The best way to fight this is by simply controlling ourselves from eating processed foods made with low-quality salts. If you can cook your own meals, it’s your best bet. Use non-processed salts (Himalayan Crystal Salt) or unrefined sea salts.

Tips for avoiding water retention:

~ Eat Less Salt. Salt is made of sodium, the main “retaining” ingredient.

~ Increase Your Daily Magnesium Intake.

~ Increase Vitamin B6 Intake.

 ~ Eat More Potassium-Rich Foods.

~ Avoid Refined Carbs

If you are on Testosterone therapy and you are retaining water, it may be a sign that your estrogen levels are too high. Are you taking your estrogen blockers as organized by your physician? If you feel that you are not getting the benefits from Testosterone therapy that you read about, contact us so we can help you.

Conclusion

Following some of the tips above will help you to dramatically improve vascular appearance without having to use any dangerous diuretics or other strange gimmicks.

  • The best thing is that these tips will promote a more lasting, obvious vascularity dilation, instead of generating a 20-minute simulation with a few quick pumps.

Garlic can improve health 5 (1)

Garlic Can Improve Health More Than You Can Imagine.

Garlic can improve health. Significantly. Did you know that? Funny thing is though, most of the time that you think about garlic, you think about how horrible your breath is going to smell and how you obviously won’t be talking to anyone for the rest of the day. It makes sense then that this wonderful herb has had such a bad rap over the years and has pretty much been out of sight, out of mind.

Did you know, however, that garlic was actually considered divine in Egypt as a result of its therapeutic properties? Interestingly enough, despite it being mostly rebuked by western civilization, the more focused studies are done, the more people are starting to understand and believe in the curative powers of garlic. It’s really true. Garlic can improve health.

What can you do with garlic exactly? What makes it so special?

Well, instead of taking an aspirin to help prevent a heart attack, eat a clove of garlic. Garlic thins out blood just like aspirin can. Take it as you would a capsule. Swallow it with a glass of water. You don’t need to chew or taste it.

It also:

  • Helps prevent your arteries from clogging
  • Reduces blood pressure
  • Reduces cholesterol levels
  • It spikes the immune system (use liberally in a nice warm soup to help clear up a cold, congestion and chest infections)
  • Have intestinal worms or some sort of fungal infection? Garlic helps to fight against and get rid of them.
  • It’s known to have cancer-fighting capacities. Specifically, it helps against digestive, breast and prostate cancer, which if you are on testosterone therapy, may be a great addition to your diet.

Even though garlic can improve health and the above details sound fantastic, you don’t want to run to the kitchen and start downing garlic cloves. Remember, everything should always be done in moderation, even breathing.

Garlic can improve health

There are only about 4 calories in a clove of garlic but, consume too many of them and you can:

  • Develop heartburn
  • Develop flatulence
  • Have diarrhea
  • Develop skin rashes

In conclusion, it is really true. Garlic can improve health. There are studies coming out all the time about the incredible curative powers of foods. The benefits of foods over regular medication is that food really doesn’t cause negative side effects unless you are eating something you are allergic to or in exaggerated amounts.

Is Testosterone Therapy Preventive Medicine? 5 (1)

Is Testosterone Therapy Preventive Medicine?

testosterone therapy preventive medicine

Is Testosterone therapy preventive medicine? This is a very fair question. We hear of so many pro’s and cons but, is there an actual medical need for testosterone. Is Testosterone therapy preventive medicine or, where does it rank in terms of the necessity for the male body?

It could be said that testosterone is what makes men, men. It gives them:

  • their characteristic deep voices
  • larger muscles
  • facial and body hair, distinguishing them from women.

It also:

  • stimulates the growth of the genitals at puberty
  • plays a role in sperm production
  • fuels libido
  • contributes to normal erections
  • fosters the production of red blood cells
  • boosts mood
  • aids cognition

Over time, the testicular “machinery” that makes testosterone gradually becomes less effective, and testosterone levels start to fall, by about 1% a year, beginning in the 40s. As men get into their 50s, 60s, and beyond, they may start to have signs and symptoms of low testosterone such as:

  • lower sex drive and sense of vitality
  • erectile dysfunction
  • decreased energy
  • reduced muscle mass and bone density
  • and even anemia, to name a few.

Taken together, these signs and symptoms are often called hypogonadism (“hypo” meaning low functioning and “gonadism” referring to the testicles). Researchers estimate that the condition affects anywhere from two to six million men in the United States. Yet it is an underdiagnosed problem, with only about 5% of those affected receiving treatment.

Studies have shown that testosterone-replacement therapy may offer a wide range of benefits for men with hypogonadism, including improved libido, mood, cognition, muscle mass, bone density, and red blood cell production.

Taking into account some of the scientific facts delineated above, its simple to see how maintaining healthy testosterone levels can help in preventing accelerated aging. If maintaining healthy testosterone levels is reflected in a patient maintaining their vigor, strength, sexual interest and functionality and positive attitude, then it should be deemed preventive medicine. We think we can say “yes”. Testosterone therapy is preventive medicine.

Consider the fact that Testosterone is an incomparable antioxidant to the heart and its proven to maintain and aid in brain health. Not only do these points make testosterone out to be preventive medicine, it proves it an invaluable aspect of a male’s anti-aging regimen. No matter how well off all your other hormones are, as a male, if your testosterone is low, you are just simply not your normal self… and you can feel it. Call us at your earliest convenience so we can help you determine your testosterone levels. We even have

You can also reach us by filling out our Medical History Form. Upon completion, you can expect a contact within 24 business hours from one of our expert Wellness Advisors. Take advantage, testosterone therapy preventive medicine is our area of expertise. Let us share more life-transforming fact as they would affect you specifically. Contact us now.

testosterone-injections

Testosterone Injections is the most common treatment for men going through andropause. This therapy may provide help and relief from the symptoms and help improve the quality of life in many cases, also lifestyle changes such as increased exercise, stress reduction, and proper nutrition also help.

Testosterone therapy is available in different forms, ask your doctor he will help determine which treatment is best for you.

TESTOSTERONE INJECTIONS: This treatment involves doses of bioidentical (Testosterone Cypionate, Testosterone Enanthate, and Testosterone Propionate).

TESTOSTERONE PATCHES: People who wear a piece containing testosterone receive the hormone through the skin. The patches allow a slow, steady release of testosterone into the bloodstream.

TESTOSTERONE GEL: This treatment is also applied directly to the skin, usually on the arms. Because the gel may transfer to other individuals through skin contact, a person must take care to wash the gel from the hands after each application.

TESTOSTERONE CAPSULES: This is yet another option for testosterone replacement. Men with liver disease, poor liver function, severe heart or kidney disease, or too much calcium in their blood should avoid testosterone capsules.

Follow-up visits with your doctor will be necessary after the initial treatment begins. At follow-up visits, your doctor will check your response to the treatment and make adjustments, if necessary.

Enzymes: Why do we need them to stay healthy? 5 (1)

Enzymes

Enzymes: What do we need them for? How do Enzymes work?

Enzymes, how important are they to anti-aging and why should we all take Ultrazymes from Douglas Labs.

Let us explain that enzymes are extremely microscopic, much smaller even than DNA.

Let’s talk for a second about the creation of DNA:

  • The Nucleus of every cell makes DNA.
  • Like a photocopy machine, that’s all it does. It makes DNA instructions which determine how our bodies will function, controlling both Structure and function.
  • The job of making so much daily DNA is so monumental that mistakes are made in various strands of the DNA.
  • Every cell makes these small mistakes, which, if not corrected would indeed result in death.

So, why aren’t we all falling apart and mutating? This is because of the enzymes. It is here that their role is of paramount importance, protecting our bodies and lives from unwavering deterioration. How does this work? Simple:

  • Tiny enzymes just a few molecules in size are directed by our biofeedback loop to go to the site of a bad strand of DNA.
  • Once it gets to that damaged area of DNA, they splice it out.
  • At that same time, the Nucleus makes a perfected copy of the spliced piece of DNA.
  • Another set then carries the new strand of perfected DNA to the area that was bad and splices in the new perfected strand of DNA.

It is in this most remarkable way that each second of our life they keep our DNA perfected so we do not die or get a horrible illness.

The problem is we do not get enzymes in our highly processed food. There is another imperative for them though: that of digesting our food. If we do not have them for that purpose we would be gravely ill or we would die. The end result is if we do not have enough of them and digestion of food is primary, then no DNA repair will happen and folks will eventually suffer devastating illnesses.

We want our clients and patients to be vitally healthy and live much longer so what we MUST make certain is that they have an abundance of wide spectrum ENZYMES each and every second of each and every day! It is that important! That is why we ultimately place ALL our clients on Ultrazyme from Douglas Labs.

Live Long. Live Well. Make Certain You’re Blood Pressure is Normal in 2016. 5 (1)

Blood Pressure An Important New Year message
from your Friends at AAI Rejuvenation Clinic

We here at AAI are committed to keeping our clients in perfected states of good health. Anti-Aging and Longevity start with the very simplest basics, which we often forget, like making certain our blood pressure is normal, to very slightly below normal. Why? Because high blood pressure has no warning signs, you feel normal.

HOWEVER:

  • High blood pressure is a “silent killer” because it usually has no warning signs, yet it can lead to life-threatening conditions like heart attack or stroke.
  • 1 out of 3 people has high blood pressure!!
  • The good news is that high blood pressure, or hypertension, can often be prevented or treated. It is imperative to be diagnosed as early as possible.

We live in an age where many folks do not even have a primary doctor. Please let me say that is a very big mistake. Some of us, I included forgetting to take our Blood Pressure medicine or skip days… That is truly playing with fire. The facts speak loudly:

  • Every 3 months our blood pressure is subject to change.

We must stay on top of this health factor, as it is so consequential to a long, healthy fruitful life.

Normal blood flow delivers nutrients and oxygen to all parts of your body, including important organs like:

  • Heart
  • Brain
  • Kidneys

Your heart helps to push blood through your massive network of blood vessels, large and small. Your blood vessels, in turn, constantly adjust. They become narrower or wider in response to how much volume of blood is pumped out with each beat of your heart. We call this blood stroke volume.

  • If your arteries are starting to get stiff and a little brittle with middle age it can be because at mid-age we lose some of the all-important and vital elastin in our arteries.
  • We have collagen to make the arteries and veins strong and elastic to make them expand properly.

It’s normal for your blood pressure to go up and down throughout each day. Blood pressure is affected by:

  • Time of day
  • Exercise
  • The foods you eat
  • Stress
  • and other factors such as heredity.

Problems can arise, though, if your blood pressure stays too high for too long.

  • High blood pressure can make your heart work too hard and lose strength.
  • The high force of blood flow can damage your blood vessels, making them weak, stiff, or narrower.
  • Over time, hypertension can harm several important organs, including:
    – heart
    – kidneys
    – brain
    – eyes

Hypertension is a leading risk factor for death and disability worldwide, according to Dr. Paul Whelton, an expert in hypertension and kidney disease at Tulane University. “High blood pressure raises the risk of having a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, or kidney disease.”

  • Putting on extra weight or having a family history of high blood pressure also raises your risk for hypertension. You must take meaningful action.
  • The number one thing that you can do is to lose weight and get daily exercise.

Eat fewer fats and simple sugars….you want healthy fats like omega 3 high-density lipids from high-quality fish oil. We can help with that with our lab, which quite literally only has the highest quality nutraceutical supplements.

Because it usually has no symptoms, the only way to know for sure that you have hypertension is to have a blood pressure test at least once a month. This easy, painless test involves placing an inflated cuff with a pressure gauge around your upper arm to squeeze the blood vessels. A healthcare provider may then use a stethoscope to listen to your pulse as air is released from the cuff, or an automatic device may measure the pressure.

Blood pressure is given as 2 numbers.

  • The first number represents the pressure in your blood vessels as the heartbeats (systolic pressure).
  • The second is the pressure as your heart relaxes and fills with blood (diastolic pressure).

Experts generally agree that the safest blood pressure—or “normal” blood pressure—is 120/80 or lower, meaning systolic blood pressure is 120 or less and diastolic pressure is 80 or less. I like to keep mine at 114/70 because that is still very safe and puts much less pressure against the artery walls.

High blood pressure is defined as having an average blood pressure of above 140/90 according to the National Institute of Health’s Dr. Lawrence Fine. He oversees research on the treatment and prevention of hypertension. Since blood pressure can vary widely from day to day, a diagnosis of hypertension is usually based on an average of 2 or more readings taken on 2 or more occasions.

When diet and exercise fail, there are now medications that do not have the terrible side effects that so many people complain about. Remember we talked about the arteries needing elastin at youthful levels in order to have healthy arteries able to stretch without bursting? The prescription Enalapril comes from a group called Ace Inhibitors and scientists have found a very remarkable aspect to Ace Inhibitors.

  • Ace inhibitors can cause the artery walls to make elastin and become more youthful in a healthy ability to stretch and as they are able to stretch out more safely, blood pressure goes down with very few, if any, side effects.
  • Ace inhibitors also make the kidneys, heart, and brain healthier, according to cardiologist Dr. Luis Tami.

So folks, this New Year please make certain your blood pressure is normal and if it’s not please call your doctor right away. If you are one of our patients, call your assigned Wellness Advisor at AAI ASAP.
