The Digestive System: The First Door to Complete Health

The Digestive System: The First Door to Complete Health

The First Door to Complete Health

Digestive System By Larry Sosna

Recently we had a class at AAI Rejuvenation Clinic, as we do every Wednesday, but this week the subject touched on the delicacy of the digestion system. The further we delved into the intricacy of the digestive system and all it controls, it became apparent that many eating and digestive disorders Americans were experiencing were a direct result of how we are accustomed to constantly racing ahead, throughout the day, at “break-neck” speed.

We seem to always be in an obsessive, almost compulsive routine. It may be the phone, constant deal-making, or even the use of the computer, so much that the time to properly chew our food, the widely recommended 32 times before swallowing, does not exist. It’s virtually unheard of. When mentioning it, I usually get a “gasp.”

(most of the links in this passage will direct you to AAI Clinic’s E-Commerce page, where you will be able to select prescription strength medications from the most certifiably trusted laboratory in the U.S.A., specifically related to the symptom/illness associated with that link) We are the only country to confirm ‘Restless Leg Syndrome’ as an actual medical illness with a CPT code.

The Digestive System: The First Door to Complete Health

The same goes for Acid Reflux Disease. Chronic Reflux is not part of their medical coding in Europe because it does not exist. We talked about the fact that the inability to digest our food properly has led to a multi-billion dollar market in medications for ‘Irritable Bowel Syndrome’, ‘Leakey Gut Syndrome,’ ‘GERD,’ ‘Constipation,’ and a host of other digestive disorders that are making 73% of our population miserable. Chronic, high-level stress weakens the human body’s nine organ systems, starting with the Neuroendocrine system.

First, the ‘Adrenal glands’ are taxed so severely that Cortisol is always high in the blood…eventually, over time, millions of people get adrenal burnout. They cannot produce this stress-fighting hormone at all. When that happens, the Adrenal Hypothalamic Pituitary Axis starts to shut down. The more it shuts down, the more ill a person becomes until they are chronically, acutely, and severely sick. The AHP Axis is the most important in the homeostatic bio-feedback loop. Thus, the next issue is that the entire immune system and Digestive System become so downregulated…. many different types of viruses, bacteria, and opportunistic micro-pathogens pick apart folks.

As the immune system and Digestive System are depleted, many of the battles it’s been fighting for you in the background, unbeknownst to you, are lost, and the manifestation of these repressed maladies starts to surface. According to the American Psychological Association, Chronic High-Level STRESS wastes our emotional, adaptive resources. Furthermore, the APA, which is always great at statistical research, says that as of 2014, 40% of Americans could not get a full night’s sleep. They further suggest that 32% to 40% of that particular group have at least three nights a week in which they do not sleep at all…

Again almost hard for me to believe… yet that is the hard reality, and if you fall into that 40% group, you will have two times the risk of a heart attack. This type of stress causes severe emotional turmoil and can lead to drug abuse and binge eating disorders. Emotional Distress can eventually, if not interrupted, cause disabling depression or a complete nervous breakdown. We need to slow down to start to talk about solutions. Taking a walk outside each day is relaxing. We need to avail ourselves of meditation. Many research studies on Transcendental Meditation (super easy to learn and do 20 min. two times a day can reduce stress by 60%).

Research shows TM can heal the adrenal glands and start healing the entire AHP Axis. Slowing down and making better choices, like chewing your food 32 times per bite, can significantly impact recovery. Eating whole foods, cutting down on sugars, and doing 15 min of light Yoga will go a long way to healing completely from full stress-burnout. The key is to continue these healing choices DAILY.

We must all learn that it is NOT what we do once in a while that hurts us; it’s the “destructive daily habits” that produce great harm… To all of our family of friends and our dear clients at AAI Rejuvenation, we wish you a conscious clear choice to achieve a true balance of moderate stress and the joy of allowing us to assist you with gaining perfected states of good health.
